A UK humanitarian worker who had been treating Ebola patients in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been medically evacuated to a London hospital, where they will be monitored as a precaution, health officials confirmed.
Evacuation Followed Possible Exposure
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) described the move as a "highly precautionary measure" taken after "a potential healthcare-related exposure." The individual was transferred on a specially chartered flight and remains in isolation.
